Literally. But that's how Ate Tina wanted everything to be.
Not everyone gets the chance to say a proper goodbye to his/her loved ones. Ate Tina was lucky, in a way. She has laid out her funeral plan weeks before she died.
Singing and praising...
Witnessing the outpour of love and support for Ate Tina of her friends, colleagues, and church family here in a country she truly embraced as her own was just overwhelming. Ate Tina's sister was even saying that, somehow, she envies her for that.
Tears poured out during the last goodbye at the cremation service...
But that's about it, because after the service...
Three hours after the service (at home with Tita Helen and Ate Tina's brother, Kuya Sherwin)...
Four days after the funeral (Kuya Sherwin's bday with Ate Tina's friends)...
You truly lived a good life, touching many people's lives. God bless you. We'll always remember you. Thank you sa pagpapatulog at pagpapakain sa kin sa bahay mo. Sorry sa paghahanap ko ng hair dryer nung wala ka nang buhok. Thank you sa balak mong kulayan ang buhok ko nang libre kahit di natuloy. We're missing you, kaya we still talk about you a lot. Just like last night...
And just like that, bow kami sa yo Ate Tina. 'Til we meet again.
We've embraced your death as we've embraced your life.
